    What is Twitter, anyway??
What can teachers do with Twitter?
Twitter is a VERY easy way to keep parents and others up-to-date on what is going on in your classroom! Simply type one sentence each day about what you did or something important that happened. You can even have your students write the updates! (Under your supervision, of course.) Parents who use Twitter can "follow" you to get the updates, AND you can have your Twitter updates post automatically to your classroom home page for everyone, even those who don't use Twitter, to see!! For example, I have my Twitter feed on my library home page and it looks like this:
Another benefit to using Twitter is the professional development it can provide you. If you "follow" other teachers, specialists, authors, and librarians on Twitter, you will get tons of great new teaching ideas in short little bite-size doses every single day!
